Micronics developed cost-efficient highly effective in-house machining tools. This caught the attention of Formlabs when they recently met at an event at the Open Sauce Maker in June 2024. They found that their visions aligned and collaborated on this mission of democratizing the SLS tech for an industrial application.

Formlabs have been highly efficient in terms of SLA and they introduced the SLS Fuse 1 earlier in 2017, which was a success for them. Micronics on the other hand has developed an SLS system that is highly efficient for industrial-grade applications and also cost-wise less.

SLS-produced parts have always been a little bit high in cost. Micronics is solving this, they currently have a Kickstarter campaign that exceeded $13 million, earlier their goal was $100,000.
