Hyperganic Unveils Innovative Simulation Technology

4.5/5 - (4 votes)

Hyperganic recently revealed an innovative development: A faster method for conducting 3D simulations.

I’m a Simulation engineer myself, and looking at the current trends with AI, this company has innovatively included AI in FEA.

In simple terms, 3D simulations make things look real and come to life on the computer. Hyperganic, a German startup, is really good at creating these lifelike designs. They call it as “algorithmic engineering,” which involves using Artifical Intelligence embedded with concepts of FEA, and design models which humans cannot even think of. Mostly these are organic designs.

They’ve done something truly impressive in the past – they used 3D printing to create a aerospike rocket engine. This engine might just be the most complicated thing ever made using 3D printing. Look at the image below for the complex part ever printed.

Being a Mechanical Design Engineer myself, The basic designing something is only the first step. Afterward, you need to test and see if the design works the way it’s supposed to. It’s like trying on clothes to make sure they fit right before you buy them. This is even more important when the parts are used in critical machine parts.

Simulation isn’t new; people have been doing it for a long time. However, it usually takes a while. Sometimes you have to leave the computer running all night just to get the results in the morning. There was a project where i would run the computer simulation for 18 hrs and get the results to validate from a engineer point of view.

Even though computers are faster now, it doesn’t always make testing quicker because the tests are really detailed and complex.

But guess what? Hyperganic is changing the game! They claim to have found a way to test things much faster, thanks to their advanced computer skills. They say their method can be up to 80% quicker. And the best part? You don’t have to mess with a bunch of settings – their system handles it all for you. Engineers and researchers can now look at their cool designs and see how they work almost instantly. It’s like magic!

They’re using a special method to make this happen. It’s something called the “Finite Cell Method,” which some smart folks at the Technical University of Munich came up with. Hyperganic got access to it, and now they’re using it to speed things up without adding a lot of extra work.

The exciting part is that designers might not have to wait overnight anymore. They can see the test results right away while they’re still sitting at their computers. This could change how designers work, making the process quicker and easier.

Now from a design engineer’s perspective, this is a game changer, and might improve productivity a lot.

And the coolest part of all? This new method could lead to better things being made faster. Imagine having really amazing 3D printed stuff all around us! Hyperganic has integrated this cool technology into their system called “Hyperganic Core.” They’re giving it away for free for a little while. After that, they might start monetizing it – we’re not sure if it’s a monthly sub or a one-time payment.

So, that’s latest news on Hyperganic’s new super speedy 3D simulation technology! (This was announced by the company in November 2022)
